International arbitrator and expert in American law

Michael D. Young of New York has conducted over 1,500 complex or multi-party mediations and arbitrations, and has been appointed as a mediator or special master (for discovery management or settlement implementation purposes) by various federal, state and bankruptcy courts in the

United States.

Mr. Young is a member of the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, an elected fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, an elected “neutral member of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers and a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the Beijing Arbitration Commission.

Mr. Young specializes in the resolution of business and commercial disputes, as well as employment matters and insurance-related cases.

Mr. Young has mediated cases in Madrid, Spain (airline leasing dispute between an French lender and a Venezuelan airline); Rome, Italy (product supply dispute between an English manufacturer and Israeli communications company); Zurich, Switzerland (executive-level employment dispute); and in San Juan, Puerto Rico (sexual harassment claim). He has also served as an arbitrator in International Chamber of Commerce proceedings, as well as in other international forums.¬†Finally, Mr. Young has been recognized as one of the best 185 mediators from around the world in the “International Who’s Who in Commercial Mediation.”
